War Eagle! Enough said. Well, that would be enough but I’ll elaborate a little. I am a huge Auburn fan. I have been all my life. I’m not one of these come-lately fans that just started being a fan because they’ve done well this season. I’ve been an Auburn Tiger since birth. My dad graduated from Auburn and he molded me into a fan. We would watch the games together on the couch although I would get scared of his yelling at the TV and go hide out in my room. I would also get scared if they were losing because he’d be upset. Don’t get me wrong, he kept it under control, but I felt bad for him and didn’t want to see his grief. Dad and I even went to the Iron Bowl (Auburn vs Alabama) a few years ago. That was the same day that by some miracle Vanderbilt beat Tennessee. Just an FYI there. Anyways, the Iron Bowl was about the best game I’ve ever seen as we won for the 5th or 6th year in a row over Alabama. Can’t stand Alabama by the way. Another FYI. Anyways, I’m so excited that Auburn has made it to the National Championship game. I have been waiting my whole life for this. I’ve watched them do well and even win the SEC, but never have they gone undefeated and played for the National Title. Since this might be my last post before Disney and therefore before Monday night, I had to squeeze this in this week. I know it has nothing to do with running but Auburn will be running, I hope, down the field to score. A lot. I’ll come home from Disney marathon weekend just in time to watch the game. If they don’t win, I’ll be ok. Oh, I'll be bummed, but I'll be at least happy that they made it and provided a great year of football. Needless to say, I won’t be watching it with dad. He’ll still be in Disney watching it in his room at the Pop Century. They’re staying an extra day. Mom will probably be hiding in the corner or in the bathroom. I would.
Keep runnin’,
Albert
Very cool - hope they have a good game and you have a great race to boot :)!
ReplyDeleteGood luck this weekend, Albert! Cheering for you!
ReplyDeleteAlso rooting for Auburn in the big game! I grew up in Alabama, a couple of hours from Auburn, but I've been a Duke fan since birth! As a kid, people would ask me if I pulled for Auburn or Alabama, and I'd say, "Duke!" :> War Eagle on Monday night!
Looking forward to your race report!
